Cabo San Lucas

Dream wedding ...

I had the pleasure of escorting the wedding group of Quentin Coe and Cherie Stromsmoe to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for a 7-day stay at the RIU Palace. Cabo San Lucas is located at the southern most tip of the Baja California Peninsula between the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean. The RIU Palace is a five star all-inclusive resort with six restaurants, 2 large pools, swim up bars, unlimited leisure activities, and nightly entertainment. The RIU Palace is a beautiful place for a wedding with the landmark rock formation "El Arco" in the background.

The wedding took place on the beach – the archway was covered in white lace and tiger lilies, the guests sat on white cloth covered chairs in the sand and torches lined the pathway where the flower girl Amber Muenchrath dropped flower petals. Next came her brother Braden Muenchrath and family friend Matthew Holst as ring bearers and finally the beautiful bride Cherie Stromsmoe with her parents Bruce Madsen and Rusty Stromsmoe. The wedding service was performed by a Mexican Justice of the Peace and translated by sister of the bride Shaunna Muenchrath. After the wedding champagne was served on the beach.

The wedding group then made their way to the reception being held on the terrace of the Mexican restaurant with a view of "El Arco". Supper was served as the sun set into the Pacific Ocean. For the next 5 days the family and friends of Quentin & Cherie's had the opportunity to explore all Cabo San Lucas has to offer. Snorkeling at San Maria Bay, Glass Bottom Boat tour at lover's beach, a day trip to Todos Santos, a Pirate Ship adventure and great shopping. And of course the nightlife in downtown Cabo - The Giggling Marlin, Squid Row and Cabo Wabo – where some were lucky enough to watch Sammy Haggard perform at his 2006 birthday bash. Could there be a more perfect way to start your life together then with your family and friends on a beautiful beach in a tropical location.

Cancun / Riviera Maya

A wedding in paradise ...

On May 8 th , 2008 Crystal Coleman and Kevin Goulet were married at the Royal Playa Del Carmen Resort. Thirty Eight of their family and friends accompany them to Mexico to share their special day. The beautiful bride was escorted by her father to the gazebo by the ocean to join Kevin to exchange their vows. The bridesmaids were lovely in their deep purple dresses and the groomsmen stayed cool in their white linen shirts, black pants and sandals. After the wedding champagne was served to the happy group as photos were taken on the beach.

That evening the guest made their way into the ballroom for the reception and were treated to a fabulous meal. In the ballroom the MC invited the guest to share their stories about Crystal and Kevin's life and then everyone danced the night away celebrating with the happy couple. What a perfect way to start your life together. The guests soon discovered luxury around every corner, all provided in an atmosphere of casual elegance boasting a perfect beachfront location.

The Royal Playa Del Carmen Resort is mere steps from Playa del Carmen's famed Fifth Avenue with hip night spots, trendy cafes and colorful shops. The rest of the week was spent enjoying the many attractions the area has to offer. Some choose to explore the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza, Tulum and Coba, some visited Xel-Ha - the world's most spectacular natural aquarium, a nature lover's paradise and others ventured to Cozumel and spend the day on scooters touring the island. Punta Cana

Destination amazing ....

Dreams Punta Cana was the site of Michelle Goulet and Luke Ball's big day Nov 21, 2009. This is truly a place of fantasy — Dreams Punta Cana. A magical experience for families, couples, singles and friends. Perfectly located on the magnificent east coast of the Dominican Republic, the natural beauty of the island and nearby coral reef nurtures an incredible number of flora and fauna.

Every detail has been selected for your complete pleasure and total relaxation. Luke and Michelle chose to have their wedding in the lovely on site gazebo. The beautiful bridesmaids dressed in black walked up the aisle covered in flower petals then came Michelle - an absolutely stunning bride . She was escorted to her waiting groom by her father Leon Goulet.

After the short ceremony all the guests were treated to champagne to toast the happy couple in the hotel lobby. Later that evening the guests were invited into the cool air conditioned ballroom for a full reception. After supper was served and the toasts were made the wedding group danced the night away in the ballroom and continued on to the disco for more celebrating. Everyone enjoyed a wonderful week in Punta Cana with Luke and Michelle and their families and friends.

Las Vegas

Viva Las Vegas ...

May long weekend 2011 was the perfect time to take a trip to Las Vegas for the wedding of Alicia Grey and Curtis Goulet. Most of the group arrival at the hotel on Friday and that evening a trip down to Freemont street was on the itinerary - everyone loaded up into 2 limo's and were off downtown for supper and the light show.

Saturday was a day at the beach - Alicia and Curtis rented 2 cabanas poolside at the Mandalay Pool which is more than your average resort pool. It is located on 11 lush acres, Mandalay Bay Beach is a world-famous aquatic playground featuring 2,700 tons of real sand and a 1.6 million gallon wave pool.

Sunday was wedding day! Alicia and Curtis picked the Viva Las Vegas Package for their wedding complete with Elvis singing at the ceremony. Alicia was a truly beautiful bride in her ivory dress as she made her way up the aisle of the chapel with her father. Curtis the very handsome groom was waiting for her along with their wedding party - which consisted of 4 bridesmaids, 4 groomsmen's, a ring bearer and flower girl. The reception and dance was held in one of the many ballrooms at the Mandalay Bay Resort. The party continued into the wee hours at the Eye Candy Lounge in the Casino.

I have had the pleasure of escorting all three of the Goulet clan to their destination wedding and love spending time with this wonderful family.

Costa Rica

A match made in heaven ....

On February 12, 2012 I had the pleasure of escorting Karen Bathen and Gordon Louissaint, along with 22 of their friends and family to the RIU Guanacaste in Costa Rica for their beautiful beach wedding. This amazing 5 star resort is located on the seafront in the beautiful region of Guanacaste, on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. It is a place where one can enjoy the possibilities offered by the privileged surroundings – relaxation and water sports on the dark sand beaches, diving or fishing in the waters of the Pacific and eco-tourism in the volcanic areas and natural parks.

The wedding took place on Feb 16 th on the incredible sand beach surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. Gordon's adorable 7 month old niece was the flower girl carried by her mother Faith throwing flower petals in the warm ocean breeze. Next came the beautiful bridesmaids in their flowing ivory dresses and the handsome groomsman in their ivory shirts and capri pants. Karen was absolutely stunning in her lovely full length red and white gown. She was escorted across the sand by her father Carlos, to the archway covered in white lace where her soon to be husband Gordon was waiting.

The service was performed by a Justice of the Peace and as Gordon and Karen exchanged their heartfelt vows there was no doubt they were meant to be together forever. After the Wedding ceremony, champagne was served on the beach for the happy couple and their guests. That evening the guests made their way into the open area patio for the reception and were treated to a fabulous meal. The MC invited the guests to share their stories about Gordon and Karen's life and then everyone danced the night away celebrating with the happy couple.

The rest of the week was spent enjoying the many attractions the area has to offer. Some chose to snorkel in the Pacific Ocean, go horseback riding on the beach, shop at the open air market at Coco beach or zip lining thru the jungle, while other spend their days soaking up the rays by the pool and visiting the pool bar. Family and friends agreed that this was the perfect way for the Louissaint's to start their life together. Gordon and Karen live in Calgary where Karen operates Louissaint Artistry Professional make-up and hairstyling.
